Building Entrepreneurs Today (BET) Program is one of Diamond Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility activities with the aim of generating enthusiasm for business. Since 2010, Diamond Bank have banded together with the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) of the Pan Atlantic University in training and nurturing smaller scale and medium scale businesses under the BET programme.
Award
Right now in its 6th season, the BET programme is a yearly capacity building and business instruction venture which includes the preparation of fifty (50) growing business people over a time of six (6) months after which the top five (5) entrepreneurs are awarded Three Million Naira (N 3,000,000) grants to take their businesses to the next level.
This annual initiative has contributed immensely to the pool of skilled small and medium scale entrepreneurs as well as enduring wealth creation in the country.
This year’s edition has been streamlined to 3 key sectors;
- Education, Healthcare and Agriculture.
- These three sectors are important for any growing economy and providing capacity training and financial support for entrepreneurs in these sectors will impact the economy significantly especially as the country takes significant steps to diversify the economy and grow the non-oil sector.
